In addition to the Kinstretch classes we will provide optional extra credit work. This work will include both mobility and classic strength and conditioning that integrates seamlessly with the classes. The goal of this is to provide freedom for all activity levels. If you are looking for a complete program then the instructions are there. If you just want to focus on the 18 classes then your golden as well. You are welcome to go at your own pace as the classes are available to you forever.
Self Assessment Video Series
When it comes to putting in work MTS does not like to guess. We have created a video series to assess your body head to toe including how to screenshot the necessary positions to establish a baseline. Week 1 you will know exactly where you are limited which will allow us to individualize your approach outside of class as well as maximize your intent in class. We will be asking everyone to submit their assessments and as a group we will have major progress checks throughout.
Kinstretch Pro Tip Video Series
Ian has put together a series of videos discussing the finer details of a Kinstretch practice. This series is the end result of working with hundreds of athletes and students who can’t find the stretch, feel pain here, and can not get into that position. We have done everything in our power to give you the tools to individualize this program to your own body in order to maximize efficiency and enjoy success.
Joining the program will grant access to the Facebook group which will serve as a forum. All questions will be answered, students can post videos for feedback, and additional links can be shared.
Will I have access to the program forever or will it expire?
This was something we received a lot of questions about and we want everyone to know they will always have access forever.
Is there a certification or qualification given at the completion of the program?
Both programs do not come with a qualification or certification. It does however teach you the system in great detail. It's a great way to get familiar with Kinstretch/FRC and if it's something you would like to teach as well we recommend going to the certification from there. Vice versa, if you have been certified, the program is a great way to reinforce the concepts of FRC and learn coaching cues.
Can I do the program if I have injuries?
In general yes. Ian will always provide modifications for everything so no levels are left out. For specific injuries especially with high levels of pain please reach out to Ian directly to make sure this program will work for you.
What can I expect at the end of the program?
First and foremost you will learn a ton about your body and how to maintain your health for the rest of your life. You can also expect significant gains in mobility and strength throughout every joint in your body. You will learn how to improve your breathing and minimize daily stress as well.
How do we measure success?
Within the Video Assessment series you will have multiple outcomes being measured both dynamic and isometric. You will only need your smart phone to complete the assessment. Our goal is not just I feel better but objective evidence of improvement.
Do you need to take Level 1 before Level 2?
You don't have to, but we recommend that you take Level 1 first and develop your prerequisites and build your foundational knowledge of Kinstretch.
